PersonalityLouis has always had a weak mind and body. Concerning his body, Louis has always refused to re-drink Lestat's stronger blood, so as to be able to kill himself when he has the courage to do it.
Unlike Lestat, Louis has never been a man of action. He is passive, and prefers contemplation and reading to action and adventure. He doesn't like to be a vampire, and is obsessed with philosophical and metaphysical questions, such as the existence of God. Lestat describes him as the most human of all the vampires. Louis is unable to forget the past: he can't forget his years with Claudia and feels guilty and desperate at being what he is. The pain he feels for the loss of Claudia is still present many years after her death, and this pain and the transformation of Merrick, a mortal witch whom he fell in love with, will lead him to try to die, by exposing himself to the sun. Yet, he will be 'reanimated' by Lestat, David and Merrick. And after his rebirth and thanks to the rich blood of Lestat and David, he will experience for the first time of his life a great physical strength and the feeling to truly belong to a group, and that's precisely what he has always wanted.

History:
Interview with the Vampire details an ersatz familial relationship between Louis, Lestat and a third vampire, Claudia. Louis, in a moment of weakness, feeds from the six year old orphan, and Lestat contrives to make her into a vampire to, in his own words, "bind Louis to [him]". In saving Louis' life by giving him Claudia to love and look after, he destroyed Claudia by forever condemning her to the form of a six-year-old child.
Louis finally found a sort of peace with his "family," he taking the "maternal" role with Claudia, Lestat the paternal, and finding contentment in their family home at Rue Royale. Claudia, however, gradually matured in mind (if not body) and came to hate both of her "parents" for giving her immortality, in her own words, "this hopeless guise, this helpless form". She rebelled against Lestat, attempting to kill him in 1860 and escaped with Louis to the Old World to look for other vampires.
In Paris, the "father" and "daughter" finally found what they were looking for: fifteen vampires who disguised themselves as human mummers at the Theatre des Vampires. However, in the eyes of these vampires, Louis and Claudia are criminals. They had both attempted to kill their maker, Lestat and therefore ought to pay for their crime with their lives. Louis managed to escape death, however, as Lestat who appeared suddenly at the Theatre pleaded for his life.
Louis burned down the Theatre in a rage after Claudia's death and drifted through the world and time with the Theatre's leader, Armand, whom he was in awe of and loved. They separated very late in the 20th century in New Orleans.
In the early 1970s, Louis later claimed to have discovered Lestat in New Orleans, lost in a catatonic state. Louis turned his back on him in pity and disgust. (This may be a fabrication by Louis to lead Daniel to Lestat's haunt, on which Lestat remarks in his memoir, "Louis [...] had all but drawn a map and placed an X on the very spot in New Orleans where I slumbered [...] and what his intentions were, were not clear.")
Louis and Lestat were reunited at the end of the novel The Vampire Lestat in 1985 when Lestat was a rock superstar. In the events of The Queen Of The d**ned, Louis and many other vampires came together at Maharet's house in the Sonoma Compound to fight against Akasha.
Louis was one of the only vampires to refuse the powerful blood offered by Maharet and Lestat, preferring to gain strength with age. However at the end of Merrick, one of the Vampire Chronicles, Louis had put himself into the sun after making Merrick a vampire. Lestat then gave Louis some of his immensely powerful blood (containing the power of some of the oldest and most powerful vampires in the world) to save Louis' life. It was noted by David Talbot that with this transfusion of blood from his master Louis may have lost some of his humanity and become more vampiric in nature. Whether this was in fact the case was not fully explored; later books did not focus on the character of Louis.
Goals: find the meaning of being a vampire
Moto: keep the bus on the road ((i couldnt think of anything to put so i used my deceased band director's motto.))
Childhood: Louis de Pointe du Lac was born in 1766 and became the master of two indigo plantations near New Orleans (Louisiana), on the banks of the Mississippi River. He had a comfortable life until his brother died after they violently quarrelled. Louis felt guilty about his brother's death and became then self-destructive, cynical and desperate. He longed for death, yet had not the courage to kill himself. So he started to roam the streets at night and spent his time drinking in taverns, hoping someone to kill him. It was in this state of mind that he met Lestat, who appeared to him like an angel, and offered him an alternative to his desperate life.
*Anything else: i kinda didnt know what to put for some of the stuff so can you explain what i messed up?
Rp Example:
Louis walked out of his home in new orleans, Louisianna, U.S. He walked the Darkened streets and felt alone as usual. Louis thought of all his abilities such as telekenesis, the spell gift, Enhanced physicality and senses, Killing Gift, and the gift of immortality. Louis hated being a vampire and he so wished to die to see his family again, knowing he wont being "the son of the devil."
Louis continued walking as he thought of Claudia and how much she ment to him. He hated Armand for killing her and he had also hated himself for not being able to rescue her. he sighed. he missed her terribly, but as he always believed in "keep the bus on the road." It used to be "keep the carriage on the road", before they got buses.
Louis continued walking when he noticed the sent of death. Mortals couldnt sense it, but he could. when he grew closer and closer to the house, the sent grew larger. Louis debated if he would go inside or not, and he then did.
walking through the gate, Louis stepped in through the front door. he could smell it clearer now and when he reached the top of the stairs, Louis noticed someone sitting in the chair. it was none other than the Vampire Lestat who was confined to the chair because of the fire he and Claudia "killed" lestat in. Louis knew that Lestat hadent noticed him, so louis turned around and walked out.
as he walked through town again, louis noticed something rather strange.
Reaction in Rp:
Louis looked at his "girlfriend" in disgust. he only watched her with the other guy. he didnt mind it though. i knew i shouldnt have started anything with her. he thought. all he did was make sure she saw him and in which she did, but continued anyway, and he left.
Louis knew it was only right to stay alone. he wouldnt find anyone like Armand, or Lestat or even like Claudia again. all he did from that moment of time, when he saw his ex, was just walk.

You've just walked in on your boyfriend and your best friend making-out, what do you do?
